Partnerships That Protect
The Ashland Volunteer Fire Company partners with other important entities, including Hanover Fire-EMS and Ashland Volunteer Rescue Squad. AVFC is a member of Hanover Fire-EMS, the county-level department responsible for fire protection, EMS, and technical rescue. Hanover Fire-EMS consists of hundreds of dedicated career firefighters and approximately 150 operational volunteers spread across 17 stations. AVFC is designated Company 1, the first and finest of Hanover.
We also partner with the Ashland Volunteer Rescue Squad. The rescue squad primarily provides emergency medical services in the greater Ashland community and is designated Company 16. Operating three advanced life support equipped ambulances and several support vehicles, we are happy to assist them.

We are always looking for new members at our station. Becoming a volunteer firefighter is a challenging and rewarding choice. All training and equipment is provided.
Our community dependds on us to provide emergency services 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, and it takes a large and dedicated group of men and women to answer the call since we are proudly an all-volunteer station.
